A look at 2015 A.D. in my rear view mirror:

JANUARY- *The year started out with my 90 year old Dad in a rest home after suffering a stroke in December while on a fishing trip to Florida with brother Steve. He rallied a couple of times, but passed into God's presence on Feb. 4th. A good dad. He gave us a great childhood. I miss him everyday.
* A Haiti fund raiser concert in Sarasota with The Inspirations the second Friday of January;
*A week long prison crusade in Alabama the last week of January;

FEBRUARY- *Prisons and concerts at home (and Dad's funeral).
*Back to Sarasota, for our annual Common Ground Ministries Banquet in February.

MARCH- *A ten day banquet tour with We Care Prison Ministry.

APRIL- *To Germany for a Dialect Festival in Bockenheim.

MAY- *A concert tour to Belize.

JUNE- *A family reunion in Idaho in June.

JULY- *An annual trip to Little Eden Camp (Michigan) as the Resource Person.

AUGUST- *An exciting opportunity to sing at The Ohio State Fair, set up by Dean Chance (who passed away in Oct.);
*A prison fund raiser in Hutchinson, Kansas;

SEPTEMBER- *A cruise to New England in September!

The year finished up with various prisons, concerts, weddings... And THEN...

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER- *Seventeen(!) company Christmas banquets in Wayne and Holmes Counties, and eleven Christmas concerts at the Amish Country Theater in Walnut Creek, O. -All of them sell outs!
*The whole family was home for Christmas.
*On the 28th Lydia and I headed to Florida so I could fly to Peru on New Year's Day for five prison chapel services here in Lima, where I am writing this letter.

2016- I am looking forward to another year of life! There are some exciting things already on the 2016 calendar, even though our country and the world is in trouble. I read an interesting combination of verses this morning;
"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see that you are not alarmed," Three verses later: "...you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death..." (Matthew 24)
Don't be alarmed... you will put me to death...

They will put me to death, but I shouldn't be alarmed(!?). That is the peace that passes understanding.

We are not promised one more breath of life, but we are promised life eternal if we follow Christ. My prayer is that this year will be lived for Christ to the fullest of my potential.

Only one life and soon 'tis past, only what's done for Christ will last.

“Be very careful how you live- not as unwise, but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil...” Ephesians 6:15

Have a blessed 2016!
